Rewire London brought together around 200 bright sparks from the digital industry for a day of very lively and intelligent chat. It was over at the Google Campus which is a shared working space with a warehouse feel and a good coffee bar.
This was an unconference so the agenda came together on the day by people who had either planned to speak or who made a last minute decision to get involved.

Got this new app, London Bike Rides, from the same dude that does the London Bike Rides website and blog. The app is well worth getting – it presents the rides really well, and you can choose by road/ trail/ hilly etc. which is marvellous.
I did the ‘Tower Bridge to Greenwich Park’ ride although really the route just served as inspiration and I added, picked & mixed my own bits. And it was worth it for the inspiration. I never come to East London and I certainly hadn’t realised how quickly I would be here. It was my first time going through Greenwich foot tunnel

The first iMedia Digital Summit took place last week on a very sunny Tuesday and Wednesday in Eastbourne. 180 major digital players got together to talk about what’s shaping the industry, where the trends are heading, who’s doing what best, and how we can all make lots more lovely monies online.

We know that the digital media & marketing industry is expanding and the Robert Walters Quarterly Update for 2011 reported that in particular ‘online marketing professionals were highly sought-after.’ With that growth there is also more demand for effective training, up-skilling and increasing industry expertise.

Due to significant internal changes at PepsiCo, Bonin Bough informed us on Saturday morning (26 March) that he is now unable to join us in person on Wednesday 30 March for the free Keynote Presentation at ad:tech Melbourne. Bonin’s presentation is one of four free Keynote Presentations at ad:tech Melbourne. The other Keynote speakers are: the Founders of Spreets, the Digital Communications Manager from Tate, UK and the CMO of Microsoft APAC.

The great thing about the ad:tech Melbourne program is that we’ll be revisiting some of the content from Sydney. This is good because it means the best content is being aired twice, and in the interim the speakers can re-evaluate their material in light of any feedback and taking in to account the local market.
