Fresh from our Salsa class the night before Kate and I went along to Manly’s newest Latin dancing night, Beaches Latin at the Shore Club. It was completely excellent, great mix of music, some amazing dancers to perv, I mean watch, and only five bucks! There were a lot of people there from the Buena Vista Dance Academy so that was fun too.
I think the night is monthly – so we can all keep going to Establishment in between! – you should come along to the next one….

Kate had told me that she went to classes sometimes and so I tagged along to see what it was like. The class was at the Manly Vale Calabrian Bowling Club (sounds way fancier than it is) and was hosted by Buena Vista Dance. It was wicked. We did warm up, then divided the room between beginners, middle, advanced and learned our own routines in those groups. We were both shattered from the bush walk so we just hung out for a while, having drinks & chatting before getting into the dancing. Then we bobbed around a bit, tried to copy some others and had a giggle, actually lots of giggles, it was excellent fun.

You know how if you think about it you only see one colour in the room.. that happens with loads of things eh..? Thought about picking up latin dancing again and *poof* everyone’s been cha cha & merengueing their Tuesday nights away for ages.
