First day off from the course. I woke naturally at seven which was nice, and actually such a pleasure to see my bedroom & bathroom by daylight, and then outside, the plants & fields around the property, to see them properly. Quick getting ready (am used to that now!) and I popped out of the gate (didn’t know there was a gate) to the rice fields. I’d been around here when I went to Sari Organic the other evening but I hadn’t seen anything, it being dark.

SOSA (51/200): absorbing

Thoughts, reflections, food, frogs.

One week of living in paradise and learning about nirvana.

All while sitting in lotus position. Ok, half lotus position. Ok, mostly sprawled out.

SOSA (17/200): awakening

School of Sacred Arts. Sounds a little like black magic, may well turn out to be so :) I’m doing my 200 hour yoga teacher training with them in Ubud, Bali and we just got started.
The SOSA Director is Simone, she is very beautiful in all ways, she just makes you want to be a better person, which is a good start. Highlights: Madrid

An unexpected week chillin’ in surely one of the word’s most relaxed capital cities. I don’t know how a week with no agenda, no committments, no expectations went so quickly…
The weather was unbelievably good, the people were brilliantly friendly, it was a perfect week to stroll, drink cafe solo, buy cheap clothes, nap and then hit the cervezas. Muy bueno.

Madrid

Europe may be in the midst of a cold snap but sunny, welcoming Madrid is in a world of its own. And I’m very happy to be there enjoying its delicious charms.

Norway

Seven days turning sleepy, snowy Norway into the new girly holiday destination. We didn’t mean to have that much fun, we just couldn’t stop ourselves…

Highlights: the friendly’n'funny people we met, finding the arctic equivalent of Pizza Hut, dog sledding & snow planting, the Northern Lights (photos coming soon I hope) and finding after 48 hours that we no longer cared that beer was eight quid a pint.

travelswiththemothership

Michelle just got back from 12 days touring beautiful New Zealand with her Mum and the blog, “travelswiththemothership” is a brilliant diary of their time together. Brought back a lot of memories of roadtripping with my own Mum last year.
travelswiththemothership has some mouth-watering food refs, highly amusing anecdotes (nice one on the hire car..) and some beautiful photos. Have a read
