London bike ride

Got this new app, London Bike Rides, from the same dude that does the London Bike Rides website and blog. The app is well worth getting – it presents the rides really well, and you can choose by road/ trail/ hilly etc. which is marvellous.
I did the ‘Tower Bridge to Greenwich Park’ ride although really the route just served as inspiration and I added, picked & mixed my own bits. And it was worth it for the inspiration. I never come to East London and I certainly hadn’t realised how quickly I would be here. It was my first time going through Greenwich foot tunnel (slightly spooky). It was dead nice wiggling around a lot of the Thames Footpath between wharves, cool dock apartments and many very tempting pubs. Greenwich hill was a joy (!). I saw Surrey Quays for the first time. And I had a couple of nice breaks lounging in the sun.
It was a beautiful day, tiny breeze, not too much crazy traffic and sunny enough to get short marks, oops!
