HIM T-38: beginning of training

Asleep at my desk. Thank you Sarah :)

Yes, The Plan started two days ago but unfortunately the training didn’t… I managed a hefty walk on Monday evening, which was pretty good given I’d landed from the UK that day. But yesterday I crashed massively – fell asleep at my desk (??!) and was in bed by 6pm. So the pressure was on to make today happen..

I did 2k in the pool this evening and I’m fairly pleased and not a little relieved cos I did that in 43 minutes. Which is good news because my pre-holiday time was 40 minutes. And I’m almost certain that I doubled up on some laps this evening. So, yay, first ‘discipline’ just about on track, and first proper ‘training session’ complete and successful.

p.s. Back on the coffee today. I refer you to the ‘asleep at desk’ comment; that’s a clear correlation surely. I’ll stick with just giving up bread, cheese, anything deep fried, sweet stuff generally and heavy (define?) drinking.
